Client Highlight: Ingrid Pasco

YouTube: Realtor Brand Video

I wanted to highlight a recent client that we worked with during the spring of 2023.  Ingrid Pasco is a local Realtor and listing specialist at Keller Williams Realty, in addition to being a  home valuation director at 72SOLD.  You may learn about 72Sold and what your home is worth here.  Her experience in property management and international real estate has been a big contributor to her success in the industry.  Ingrid exudes professionalism with a friendly approach that is conducive to creating strong personal relationships.

Ingrid was referred to Max Lux Media by a trusted friend that I serve on the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce board of directors with.  After scheduling a discovery call with Ingrid, I proceeded to visit her website https://ingridpasco.kw.com/  and social media channels to learn more about her brand.  Ingrid was also very prepared for our discovery call with all the necessary details in hand.  During the call, I learned that she needed a video ad for a local event that she was sponsoring.

Here are some key specifics that we discussed about her video project:

  • Video Ad to be viewed by an audience at a film festival

    • Event date = hard deadline for the video to be delivered

    • Advertisement slot determined that the video had to be exactly 2 minutes in length

  • Customer Testimonials

  • Filming at two locations

    • Recently sold house

    • Ingrid’s office

  • Ingrids clients had a very limited time window to film at their house and give their testimonial

  • Wanted us to add visual interest to her video with b-roll and various backgrounds for the talking heads parts of the video

  • Initially, she wanted to hire us for planning and filming since she already had a video editor selected for the project

Using the details that I gathered from our discovery call, I put together a proposal for Ingrid’s video project.  At Max Lux Media, we take our proposals very seriously.  Making sure that our proposals are comprehensive and transparent helps us start every project on the right path while setting clear expectations.

Our proposals include:

  • Client specifications

  • Deliverables

  • A breakdown of our process (how we create your specific video)

  • Project Deadlines

  • Payment terms

  • Detailed breakdown of all the costs for your project

  • All the costs of potential add-ons that are available

After signing our contract and paying the retainer, Ingrid reserved her filming date on our calendar.  Prior to our scheduled filming date, we carefully went over all the gear that would be needed.  This process has many considerations based on the location, the type of videos that we are creating and the client specifications.

On the day of filming, we arrived at the first location, the client’s recently sold home in Oceanside.  Since we had a very limited time window, we worked as efficiently as possible to select the best part of the house to film in and begin setting up our equipment.  Capturing good client testimonials is all about making the person on camera comfortable so that their authenticity shines through.  We coach them through the process by being positive and supportive.  It’s critical for us to remember that most people have never been filmed on a professional video production set.  The testimonial questions were designed to highlight the aspects that are most important to Ingrid, while being open-ended enough to give their client an opportunity to make it personal.  Fortunately we got both of her client testimonials filmed with time to spare, so we used that time to capture some great b-roll clips next to the “SOLD” sign.

The second location was Ingrid’s office in Carlsbad.  We decided to film her scripted portion using two different areas of the conference room.  Having two different backgrounds helped make the video more visually interesting and provided the video editor with more options since there were multiple takes of her script read.

Part of our job in video production is to be able to adapt to different obstacles that always happen during on-location filming.  This project was no different.  Around lunch time, we had a large group of Realtors flood into the common area located outside the conference room where we were filming.  Due to the noise levels, we had to adjust our plan.  So we decided to film the b-roll portions with Ingrid, because these didn’t require any audio.  The b-roll we captured included her entrance to the office building, diligently working in her office and conversing with a co-worker.  Soon enough the loud commotion died down and we were able to finish filming Ingrid’s scripted portion of the video.

Fortunately, Ingrid was so impressed with our professionalism that she decided to have us do all the video editing to complete her project.  I wanted to highlight a few aspects of the post production process that were unique to her project.

  1. Since this video was shown to a live audience, we decided to feature her email address and phone number throughout the video.

  2. Ingrid provided some footage from her smartphone and we found a creative way to incorporate it into her video.  (See below)

  3. We used animated graphics to highlight some important $ amounts.

See what Ingrid had to say in the 5-star review that she left us on google! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I was looking for a videographer to create a 2 minutes branding video at 2 different locations including a personal and a live clients' interview. This video was also going to be played at the Lot, a Luxury Theater in La Jolla during  the French Film Festival. This wasn't an easy task, and since I am very particular about the quality and the rendering of a video, and any media overall, I was a little anxious about what was going to be my first reaction.  From the beginning when we first met at my clients' house, I realized how professional Sean and Robert were. The set up was impressive to ensure that the lighting, the sound and video recording would be perfect.  When I first watched the end result of the 2 minute video,  I was actually very impressed and excited.  The editing was excellent, dynamic and creative with a few added graphics. I really didn't need to ask Sean to change anything in the video. I just had him add a few written lines. To me that was amazing as I am very specific, if not difficult! The process was smooth and easy. Sean and Robert have been a pleasure working with, and I can only highly recommend them and Max Lux Media!”

We really enjoyed working with Ingrid on her video project.  Also, we were fortunate enough to run into her a month later and interview her at a local event that she sponsored, The Encinitas Wine & Food Festival put on by the Encinitas Rotary Club.

Sponsoring local events can be a great way to build business, especially if you can promote your brand video in front of a captive audience! Reach out if you’re interested in a great client experience and professional results for your next video project.
